The shortlisted entries span a wide range of the company’s work, underlining both technical innovation and the team’s continued focus on creating solutions for the untapped mid-market.
The categories include:
- Best Training (uControl Specialists, entered by OneAV): Delivered nationally and recognised for providing clear, accessible training that equips installers with the knowledge and confidence to deliver outstanding smart home experiences in under a day.
- Best Dedicated Touch Screen or Controller (uControl Remote, entered by OneAV): A fully customisable and dedicated smart controller for enjoying TV, music and lights.
- Best Software Release or Update (uOS 11): uControl OS (uOS) 11 - The control system update you didn’t know you had bought. A single update transformed MHUB into a control system, for free, via the biggest software release in HDA's history.
- Best Matrix/Signal Management Product (MHUB S, entered by AWE): MHUB S has already won this category twice, recognised for its ability to compete against technologies like AV over IP to deliver professional-grade video distribution - with control - without unnecessary complexity or cost.
- Manufacturer of the Year (HDA for uControl Remote): Acknowledging all of HDA’s achievements above and for building the uControl Remote to serve the needs of the everyday smart home and mid-market budgets.
The breadth of nominations reflects the company’s long-term vision to bring something new to the market; solutions that focus on the features homeowners actually use, while keeping systems streamlined and affordable.
Dillan Pattni, Head of Design, commented:
“These nominations are less about the number of categories, and more about what they represent. They’re a testament to the hard work of the team and to our belief that the industry is ready for a fresh approach. Having that effort recognised is a huge endorsement that we’re on the right path.”
The Smart Building Awards 2025 will take place on 17th September at EI Live in Farnborough.
